  1. This youtube video clip is titled, “Hail Obama! Ode of the Obama Youth.” The reason for choosing this clip is due to it’s close similarities that is depicted in the reading article, “Selections from New Latin American Cinema.” This article reiterates how film and documentaries display current happenings and dealings of reality. The author mentions how viewers are interested “more by what they showed than through how they showed it.” (pg. 178) The article therefore, uses powerful examples of Cuban cinema and the political events of that time. Similarly, with elections coming so closely, this clip on youtube serves to interest people on the current events happening in our society; especially when this clip contains a sense of ‘revolutionary’ opinion.. In accordance to the article, these films ” can also initiate in viewers, once they’ve stopped being viewers and are facing that other aspect of reality (the viewers’ own life, their daily reality), a series of thinking processes, reasonings, judgements, ideas and thus a better comprehension of reality itself and a more adequate way of conducting themselves, of acting practically.” (pg. 193)
